Used smartly and ethically, AI can become an extra pair of hands: helping you research faster, monitor policy developments, sharpen communications and automate repetitive work.
This intensive, hands-on workshop is designed to help public affairs professionals put AI to work on real tasks — while using it responsibly and in line with EU rules.
What you'll learn
By the end of the workshop, you'll know how to:
- use AI smartly and ethically in public affairs, with EU rules in mind
- write better prompts to get more useful and reliable results
- use AI to support campaign planning, messaging, research and outreach
- build your first AI agent and start automating repetitive tasks and workflows
What you'll build
This is a practical session. You'll work on exercises inspired by the day-to-day reality of public affairs, including:
- plan and launch a campaign with 10 AI prompts — from messaging and outreach to images and video
- build an AI agent for policy and media monitoring — including daily updates and sentiment analysis
- create a communications style guide that AI can use to help you write more consistently on LinkedIn
- explore more ways to use AI agents and automation for communications and research
You'll work with tools including ChatGPT, Claude, Mistral and Gemini, while learning approaches you can apply across different AI platforms.

09:30–10:30 | AI fundamentals + prompting
Get to grips with AI and practical prompting techniques, then use 10 prompts to build a campaign covering messaging, images, video and outreach.
10:30–10:45 | Coffee break
10:45–12:00 | AI agents + automation
Explore AI agents and automation for communications and research, then put the ideas into practice by building your own agent.

No advanced AI or technical experience is required.
